Nursing shortage comes to a head
The quality of life of those in need of help and care suffers first and foremost, but also the quality of work of the nursing staff. In addition, nurses and doctors leave their professions after eight and twelve years respectively because the physical and mental strain becomes too great and the profession is not compatible with family life. This leads not least to the nursing profession being unattractive for new recruits. In the long term, this could lead to a further decline in the quality of life of those in need of help and care and in the quality of work of caregivers, making the occupational field of "care" increasingly unattractive.
